Equilibrium: Adin Masencamp
A short profile film about balance: training, competition and the quiet parts in between.
Sports films default to intensity. This one deliberately does not. The idea was to sit in the spaces around the competition (the drive out, the wait, the recovery) and let the performance land harder because of the contrast.
Shot handheld and long-lens over several sessions, cut against an interview recorded separately so the voice could carry across sequences rather than anchoring to a talking head.
